History shows us that a chatelaine was used for women to hold their keys or tools which were important to their everyday life. The chatelaine I created holds the tools for women's health. This piece is part of my protest I mentioned in my BFA artist statement. Each flower/plant is either important for attracting bees (I explain the importance of the bees in the statement as well) or for the historical herbal use for abortions.
